The other day model and friend Stephane Rodrigues came by for a visit to catch up on old times and talk about training, so we had lunch at an awesome restaurant that specialized in making crêpe, a so called crêperie.
A crêpe, for those of you who don’t know is a type of very thin pancake, usually made from wheat flour or buckwheat flour (galettes).
Did You Know:
The word “crêpe” is of French origin, deriving from the Latin crispa, meaning “curled”. While crêpes originate from Brittany, a region in the northwest of France. (source wikipedia) The trademark crêpe from that region is the “Gaiette de ble noir au caramel au beurre salé” or for the none french speakers crêpe with caramelized salted butter.
And let me tell you my friend it is the Shizzle ;D !!!
But crêpes / galettes are so great because they are so versatile. There are literally thousands of different recipes from sweet to salty, from chocolate to cheesy for them!!! So each time you decide to eat crêpes, it ends up being a unique culinary experience in it self!!!
Alright that’s for today from me
bon appetit Vince
